No baby yet:)

For those who are wondering, no, there's no baby yet:) Please pray for me as you think of me. Yesterday morning I woke up with a flu bug and couldn't keep anything down. I'm doing much better today, but still quite weak (not a good thing with labor starting any day!).

I appreciate your thoughts and prayers,
Bethany

One more update:)

Well, our little girl is enjoying the calm and warmth and doesn't seem ready to make her appearance:) Today I am enjoying accompanying my beloved husband to work. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to before the arrival of our little one, but I am and I am greatly enjoying it.

This weekend promises to be a busy one with shopping, a friend getting married, etc. It's nice to be busy, cause it helps me to not get focused on the waiting time. Truly, though, God has been so good to me and I'm not feeling too bad.

Thanks to all you who placed orders yesterday... I wasn't expecting such a great response. For those that missed that deal, keep watching because I'm hoping to offer more deals as well as giving away some items in the near future...

We appreciate your continued prayers and support...

A great deal...

Dear blog readers,
I have recently been introduced to some wonderful products by a company called BeautiControl. I have always been skeptical of companies who offer facial products that "really work". I have tried many brands throughout my acne ridden teen years and have never really had much sucess. However, recently a consultant sent me some samples to try to see if it worked and I liked it. I now know why she was willing to do that. The "samples" lasted me about 2 months, and almost right away, I saw wonderful results... something I'd never seen before.

I was about 4 months pregnant at the time, and really having a bad time with acne. My face was all broken out, and the more dairy (aka protien) I ate, the worse it got. I had pretty much just decided that I was bound to have acne... until I started using these products. I have been SO happy with the results, that I have signed up to be a consultant.

As a consultant, we get special discounts. I am so excited about these products and would like to share them with you, so here's what I'm going to do...

I'm going to pass a special discount on to you TODAY ONLY until 8:00 p.m. CST. You see, I, as a consultant, am being offered 40% off everything I order. So... I'm going to pass this discount on to you. All you have to do, is go to my website (http://www.beautipage.com/bethanymaxson) and make a list of the items you want. Then email the list to me at (maxsonblog@yahoo.com). I will then place an order tonight and email you back with the total (including $8.00 s+h unless you live local and are able to pick it up). You can then pay me by PayPal or by sending me a check. As soon as the money is recieved, I'll send you your items.

NOTE:
if you simply place your order through the web site, you will NOT recieve a discount, because this is something I am offering, not BeautiControl.

Would you like some recommendations?

My all time favorite product is their facial care sets. They almost totally cleared up my acne, and they're working on the scars remaining. I would HIGHLY recommend these.

Some other favorites I have are:
the lip balm- my lips react to many generic brands, but not to this!!
the herbal hydrating mist- this is SO refreshing!!
Show of Hands- I have never felt such soft skin as after using this...

These are some of my favorites, but I definitely haven't tried everything.

Oh, one more thing. Every order placed today will recieve a free gift from me as a thank you for trying these products!!

I think that's all... just remember, I need your orders by tonight (Dec. 27th) at 8:00 p.m. CST to get the discount. Also, feel free to pass the word on to your friends and family. I would really appreciate it...

Thanks,
Bethany

Pictures from Corpus

Side shot of me on the beach!!

A "self portrait" of the two of us:)

At the entrance to Mustang Island Park

Victor on the beach. We didn't get too many pictures of him, cause he had the camera most of the time:)

Some seagulls in the water...

A beautiful view of the beach. It was even prettier in real life!!

Hmmmm... who's that? :)

Victor has some photographic talent wouldn't you say?

A quick update (possibly the last for a little while:)

My dear faithful blog readers,

I thought I'd give you a quick update of everything that's been going on over the past week or so, since our little one may make an appearance any day...

Friday night, Victor and I attended the Vision Forum end of the year celebration and really enjoyed ourselves. We ended up not getting home till about 2:30 a.m., but had so much fun, it was OK...

Peter Serven, one of the Vision Forum interns, was kind enough to take this picture of us out in the garden before the dinner began. The facility was really elegant, and the food was delicious. I didn't get a picture of our dinner (which was filet mignon) but did remember to get a picture of the dessert:

As well as our lovely facility...

On Saturday, Victor and I spent the day around the house cleaning and doing little odds and ends... then in the afternoon, we went shopping and went out to eat together. Oh what wonderful times and memories we have together.

Sunday, I wasn't feeling real great. I somehow contracted a head cold, and so I was able to make it to the morning services, but crashed in the afternoon and was unable to make it to the evening service...

Monday, Victor and I spent the day doing more things around the house (it's amazing how much upkeep a house can take:) In the evening, we spent some time at my family's house with all of them and John and Jess and Lola. We had a lot of fun, but of course, I forgot to take pictures... opps!!

Tuesday, Victor and I went down to Corpus Christi to enjoy the beach together. We walked along the beach for about two hours and enjoyed the beautiful weather, picking up seashells and marveling at God's might in creation.

I started having pretty regular, strong contractions as we walked, as well as quite a few on the way home, but once I went to bed last night, they died down:(. This morning passed pretty normal, but then again this afternoon, I started getting them again... the time is coming, that's for sure.

Here are some of our favorite pictures from the day...

or... maybe not. The server is not co-operating right now, so I'll have to post those pictures in another post...

Patience...

As each day passes with no sign of our little one, I'm really having to work hard on not getting too anxious for her arrival. Two things I'm definitely learning during this time, are faith and patience.

Faith- in God's perfect timing and plan.

Patience- as there's nothing I can do to make it come any faster:)

The time is definitely quick in coming, though, I know that. Another mother in our church who is having her fourth and was due a day before me (Dec. 31) just went into labor today!! Please pray for Erica as you think of her...

And... for those who've been wanting to see a picture I was able to take a self portrait today (not the best, but it'll have to do:) and I'm posting it for y'all!!

Well, I must close this post, as I have a great big long to-do list that I want to get done. I'll try to keep y'all up to date over the next few weeks as to what's going on...

A long overdue post...

I must apologize for my lateness on this post. I really have been meaning to write for some time, but life has kept me so busy and energy and time have been in short supply, so some things just had to be left undone (blogging being one of them:).

Everything has been going well here on the home front. We've been going through some changes and testings recently, but God has been good, and I'm very thankful for the strong and godly husband that I can trust and follow without fear!!

I had my last midwife appointment last Friday, and they confirmed that everything is like it should be and the baby is in the right position, etc. Now we're just waiting for the little one to arrive!! Please keep me in your prayers as you think about me. I'm to the very uncomfortable stage and have alot of pain and very little energy. I must say, I'm getting quite excited about my little girl's arrival!!

Other than that, life has been pretty normal. Pretty much we've been busy with everyday life and preparing for the little one. Her little corner of our room is all set up, and I'll try to post pictures before too long. I'll also try to post once I go into labor, and again once the baby is born.

Thanks to all for asking about me. Sorry I've let you go for so long. I'll try to get a preggy picture up before too long. You'll just have to be patient as everything takes longer, and I have to wait for time to go up to the church where there's high speed internet access:)

Until then...
